A native Sacramentan, Brad A. McDowell departed the region in 1992 after graduating from Jesuit High School, seeking educational endeavors at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and DePaul College of Law in Chicago. He returned to his home town with little more than a law degree and a new found respect for the weather of northern California. Thankfully, his robust sense of humor was still intact.

Mr. McDowell began his legal career in the vicious pits of personal injury, premises liability and mass-torts. In 2005, an opportunity allowed him to shift his focus towards the business world acting as in-house counsel for a boutique land development firm. There gained both the studied and the applied knowledge of real estate, land use, transactional, and business law; the focuses of his current practice. Mr. McDowell employs outside-the-box thinking coupled with a tested business acumen to provide representation and advice for a wide variety of clients on a wide variety of issues.

Mr. McDowell lives in downtown Sacramento with his wife and their dogs. A self proclaimed "renaissance man," you are just as likely to find Mr. McDowell in a fishing boat talking about his favorite BBQ recipes, as you are to find him at the golf course discussing film and fine wine.
